Meet Mr. J

Mr. J is very outgoing and social. He enjoys talking with other Residents, especially at meal times. He also enjoys working on his computer in his apartment. Mr. J always cleans his plate at meal times, and brags on the Cottage food all the time. He doesn’t have a favorite food, but he does love to raid our snack basket!

The Homemakers help Mr. J with showering and dressing every day. We also assist him with his catheter and medications. We make sure his room stays nice and clean, and we do his laundry. Our ~CareSteps~ program has been a huge help to Mr. J and his wife. At 64, Mr. J is a young man to live in a nursing home, but has challenges many assisted living communities cannot accomodate. The Cottage allows Mr. J to live in an apartment that feels like home, but he can still get the assistance he needs!

What we love most about Mr. J is his incredible personality. He is very intelligent, friendly and easy going. Despite any challenges he faces, he remains pleasant and optimistic!

Meet Mrs. B

Mrs. B is a charming and kind lady. She enjoys spending time in her room reading, playing the piano in the library, and visiting with her family and her grandchildren. When she’s not busy playing music or reading, we sometimes find her in the dining room enjoying her favorite Cottage food, fried chicken!

The Homemakers help Mrs. B by preparing all her meals, assisting her with her medications and taking her to her doctor’s visits. We like to make sure her housekeeping is also taken care of, so her everyday worries are gone!

What we love most about Mrs. B is her bright and friendly disposition. She is always willing to help with our activities!
