Valentine’s Day is fast approaching. This year, take the time to show a special senior in your life how much you love and care about them with one of these special ideas.
1. Cook for Them
Cooking a meal for a loved one is an easy and meaningful way to show them how much you care about them. Consider cooking their favorite meal, or perhaps cook a special family recipe. Cook together with your senior or have them sit and relax while you do all of the work. Ask them which they would prefer to do.
2. Make a Scrapbook
Scrapbooks are wonderful places to keep your memories. Sit down with your senior loved one and build a scrapbook together, or make a surprise scrapbook for them. For the subject of your scrapbook, consider choosing a special trip, a particularly important year in the life of your loved one, or a special topic like grandchildren.
3. Send a Care Package
If your loved one lives too far away for an actual visit, you can always send them a care package this year on Valentine’s Day to let them know they are loved even though the distance between you is so great.
