Pardon our progress while we brighten your future!

Come see what everyone is talking about!

Country Cottage Assisted Living in Huntsville became a part of The Cottage family in September of 2004. Over the past 14 years, we have made updates throughout the Cottage, but in September of 2018, we began a large three-part renovation project. This renovation not only improves the Cottage aesthetics, but also includes opportunities for us to exceed the level of service that we already provide.

We are so excited about our new renovation and the beautiful spaces that our residents, like Mr. Kerr, will get to enjoy.

Our renovation includes:

Country Cottage Assisted Living Renovation Design Board

  • Lighting – new light fixture throughout the common areas. Plus additional lights added in the hallways throughout the Cottage.
  • Flooring – new vinyl flooring throughout with a beautiful herringbone pattern at the front entrance.
  • Furniture – new furniture purchased in the living room and other pieces spread throughout The Cottage
  • Paint – Goodbye, taupe! Hello, Almondine! Walls were repainted with a light, homey color to brighten The Cottage.
  • New Landscaping
  • New art and decoration

Our renovation goes beyond flooring, paint, and furniture. While we are excited about those things, we are more excited and committed to enriching the lives of our residents.

There are beautiful changes happening all around The Cottage. These changes have encouraged us to look at other ways to provide services that go beyond our residents’ and their families’ expectations.

To better serve our residents…

We are completely revamping our activity program.
We have always had a good calendar of events, but our residents deserve more than that. They deserve the best.  We are creating a position that will be dedicated to creating new, engaging, and fulfilling activities for our residents to enjoy each day.

We are taking our old dining menus and throwing them away.
They asked, and we listened. Our residents recommended changes to our current lunch and dinner menus. We are excited to introduce our new menu options and look forward to meeting quarterly with our residents. We strive to create southern-inspired meals that our residents love and enjoy each day. This type of open communication allows us do to just that.

We are investing in our homemakers.
They are not only our team; they are our family and an extension of your family. This is why it is important for us, as a community, to put programs in place that encourage our team to provide the best care possible while fostering personal growth.

  1. Are pets allowed and also how much is the cottage. My Father lives in Michigan but is in progress of moving to Alabama. I am just trying to get him some information so he can decide where he wants to live.
